Well we are 3 for 3. We have used suck gate on all three boats and it works perfectly Big clean wave with tons of push. However on all 3 boats we have experienced water in the engine compartment. Last night on a buddies 24' Supra we unknowingly submerged the as much as half of the engine. Worse yet his bilge stopped working entirely so we had to pull off the water. I don't know if anyone else has had any issues with this but may its a tad bit concerning. Love the way these things work and no matter how far back and how low I position them we are having issues taking on water on 3 completely different boats. I may try turning it around so that the plate is all the way at the back edge of the boat in an effort to prevent this.
On a different note we did try 2 totally different version of suck gate. Mine and one my buddy made with a bit longer plate and a 45 degree angle. Resembles a small version of the Ronix wake sharper but with suction cups instead of Velcro. I felt like his produced a slightly steeper wave. However no matter the sharp angle both versions worked about the same.
