Aluminum handles don't ship to Canada.

Can't remember where I saw it but some of these are rusting out... apparently this one has the stainless hardware and is suitable for marine environment.

Been reading through this thread for the past few weeks and thought I would give a suck-gate a try before I laid out $500.. Haven't been out to see if or how it works, but thought I would post a few pics of the design. Will head out to the lake this weekend and will post pics of the before and after wave. I got one aluminum handle that had coated springs and one that did not, I would suggest taking in apart and coating those springs to prevent that, they will rust after the first use.

Seastow handles do float, Amazon is out of stock on them though, and the "replica's" they have on there do not stick.

Sold. We ran it on a buddy's 21v yesterday and had fantastic results. He has no ballast system but we had a hand filled 400 in the port locker, 3 adults and 4 small children. The wake without was a bit of a mess. There was so much wash that it rendered the back half of the wake useless. With the suckgate on it was instantly way better. All the wash was gone, the pocket was twice as long and it had tons of power at the back of the wake. It had a very heavy curl off the lip that when it hit your leg was like throwing an anchor out. His platform is dragging a bit and you can see it in the first two pics so, we'll have to fix that up. For some reason it was only really prevalent while I was riding. The gate would not stick to the Tige graphic on the back section of the side so we ran it ahead of that which put the cutting board near the front of the rear compartments. The angled sections of the shelf supports fell out at some point. We didn't even notice until we switched sides. OK, stick with me here. We only had one goofy rider, the owner of the boat. He is not a patient man and very new to wakesurfing. He decided we should just leave the 400 in the port locker full and just switch the gate to the other side and see what happens. It worked and he had the best day he's ever had wakesurfing. I'm sold. Sorry Duff. It was more of a skim style wake (fine with me) and the lip, which was all wash before anyways, was definitely cut off when I would ride but seemed to get nicer and nicer as the rider weights dropped. More weight in the boat.

These two pics are without gate and with gate. I used the rope to show the same spot behind the boat. Rider is 6ft.

My fatass is now in the boat and you can see the platform drag line is almost gone. Rider is 5'8". Code name "Jazzhands".

...and for the coup de grâce, 400lbs in opposite side, 0lbs in surf side, one wounded suckgate at least 3ft ahead of the transom. Rider is 5'10".

Mission Boat Gear Delta - Universal Surf Gate!

We tried my suck gate on a friends Malibu 21lsv with about 2000lb of ballast and the wave was amazing. I can't tell you for sure where all the weight was as it was part integrated ballast and part steel shot and part bags

Well, I finally got a chance to put one of these together on the weekend. Thanks again dukesofhazzard for HDPE.

Tried it out yesterday at the lake in a couple different spots but also ran in to the issue of it ripping off all the time. Only got to try it a couple times before the rope tether I had ripped apart and well......I don't have a suckgate anymore.lol. I'm going to try and make another one see if I can shape something a bit better for the side of my VE and do a different variation. No rush though. Personally I'm set up to list and have no problem driving listed so I don't really care if these things work or not.

                            Hi Forum,
My nephew is interested in Wakeboarding and or Wakesurfing. He is 5'10" 320 pounds.
Any board size suggestions for him to begin with??

                            Thanks!

Phase 5 has a new board called the "Kong" which is designed for 300+ riders. I haven't tried it, but I would love to.

I can tell you from personal experience the custom boards really don't stretch that far. I went with a Soulcraft and at 275lbs, it takes some work.
