The reason they didn't run the no huddle is because Mack Brown is an IDIOT! Remember he was at North Carolina before Texas. He would shoot himself in the foot a lot.
beside. . . . .
GO GATORS!

Thank you tanner for stating the obvious that a team can run no huddle all game, TX, OU and Tech are all prime examples.

um, bit mistakes? no Texas stopped them on two 3rd downs and made them kick a FG.Originally posted by LovinPowell View PostMaybe you didn't notice the missed or bad calls, the mistakes that both offenses made, Ohio State kept shooting themselves in the foot and couldn't score a touchdown in the first half when they should have been up by two or three at halftime.
If it were anybody other than Ohio State Texas would have lost big. They don't have defense in the big 12.
Guess you and I see it differently. I think OSU's offense couldn't handle Texas's Defense and vice versa, till Colt stepped up and picked apart.
Big 12 has a defense, has lots of it. Is it as good as USC's questionable #1 defense, that's debateable.

Well, we've only lost 2...of course that's 2 of 6...so not that great...lol. The one Oregon won against OSU wouldn't have happened I don't think if their coach had any sense. If your QB is trying to play w/ a seperated shoulder, you pull him instead of letting him play an entire 2nd half. That, and the fact that they lost their top (and only) reciever was why you saw the onslaught stop at half time. Of course I could be wrong... but a QB playing playing w/ a seperated shoulder on his THROWING ARM is not gonna be able to throw the ball. Period. Stupid coach didn't pull him. Their coach probably cost them the game, as that was unexcusable if you ask me.Originally posted by LovinPowell View PostI do think that the big 12 is being exposed a little bit in the bowl season, the ultimate test will be how the Sooners do against Florida.
Tech just got spanked like we all said was gonna happen.
OU and Texas have ran no huddle ALL GAME EVERY GAME. Why Texas changed for this game, I have no clue. Texas did not look like the same team at all.Originally posted by LovinPowell View PostTexas did make OSU look silly when they went to the no huddle, I just don't think that that type of Offense can be sustained for the entire game.
I do think Bama, Tech, and Texas all suffered from the why are we here problem. None of those three teams looked like they cared. All three were one game away from the NCG.... and say what you will.... it does have an effect. I'm suprised USC didn't come out in the same fashion. But Carrol has always found a way to get his troops pumped.Last edited by Tanner; 01-06-2009, 11:36 PM.
