Just curious, how much space does an HD movie take?

well, I have been working on being able to rip HDDVD, with full DD 5.1 sound, in 720p so that you can then play those on your apple TV. When I am finished, I will share it. And then soon after that, it should be available on handbrake or some software like that. Transformers and matrix is awesome in HD. Have those.

It may be dead, but I just picked up the Transformers, The matrix trilogy, and MI trilogy. I hope the prices keep dropping. www.deepdiscount.com has a bunch for $12.20.

Toshiba marketing exec left the door wide open. "Given the market developments in the past month, Toshiba will continue to study the market impact and the value proposition for consumers, particularly in light of our recent price reductions on all HD DVD players," Jodi Sally, VP of marketing for Toshiba America Consumer Products, said.

I hear ya. What would really piss me off, is when this is over, the RAISE prices. Hopefully, there will be enough competition like now, over who sells the disc, and who makes the player, like samsung vs sony. I bought a samsung player.

OK boys, no more nails in the coffin. The casket is now being lowered, and dirt is now being thrown on top.

y, it is very cool. I can't wait to get my aperture 2.0 upgrade in, so I can start using the .mac gallery, that was only in iphoto, but I don't use iphoto.

Just rented my first HD movie on Apple TV. Totally cool. I was able to start the movie within 1 minute.

Lots of other cool features in the 2.0 upgrade. You can set it up to show photos on Flickr.

I know, my brother called me last fall and said, hey, check out this deal, do you want this for Birthday/Christmas? I said heck yeah, I will take my chances for $100 of your money!

Since I already have the HD DVD player (I got the $100 special and it was a gift), I don't mind spending $61 on 4 classic movies I will watch over and over again. I will own 7 after I get my latest order to the house and that will probably be it, save for an even better sale. Do you see me justifying my bad decisions?

I am waiting before I jump into any new technology like this again, I am definetely gun shy after the HD DVD debacle. It will be interesting to see how the downloadable movie thing plays out.
