Got my engine dividers done on both sides. My buddy had some great U channel laying around. I also braced the back of the little panel. The board flexes a little in the middle but very tough other then that!

So you just ran u-channel around the edges? Did you reinforce the panel itself?

Yep ran it around all the edges. I didn't reinforce the panel, seems pretty solid now. It flexes a tiny bit in the middle, going to wait and see what my custom sacs do to it.

I made it out of solid 3/4" stainless that my local machine shop bent and pre-drilled. I was getting some spray and wash from the FAE.

That looks like a neat idea. So, the "mud flap" trails under/behind the platform, skimming the top of the water and smoothing turbulence or spray from the FAE?

Yep exactly. This is my 2nd one I have made and Larry from FAE is thinking about making them.

I got the FAE flap installed and it looks great! Also I cut the fork out of a stock double wakeboard rack. Then I got some pvc to add length and some dakine surf pads to protect my custom Shred Stixx boards. Planning on doing a 2nd one out of my other rack!

uhh wow now that's a flap. damn that's wild..so you got some bulk rubber or is that a semi truck mud flap..?. How thick is it and looks like 28 friggen' bolts on the edge?

the surf rack is killer. I need to do this to fit my thick ocean board/s. How much were the DaKine pads?

It's a dump truck mud flap I cut down. I bought the pads off ebay for like 18 a pair.

                                ok I was close...I'll bet it's stout

So with the new racks can you fit a 3" plus thick board?...like say a 6'8". Maybe I should fabricate something for the top of the tower doh.

I'm gonna need to keep a big board for the girls AND for me to play around on my longboards

question..do you rreally need a flap that big? Or could you trim it down?
