Run full on surf side locker and about 50-60% on non surf side. That's why yours was a mess. Slightly listed with gate and you will be amazed! But make sure and fill surf side.

Otherwise what I have told others, fill both lockers and bow and drain non surf side tell it cleans up as you cruise around.

Rode listed with the Delta tonight and amazed! My boat now has the wave I have been looking for. The wave has so much push and the transition is smooth.

Here is the spot I found the best.

Last night I had 1000 pounds on surf side (Starboard), 300-400 in off side, no bow weight, driver, 130 pound 16 year old and 2 little kids. Taps at 6 speed at 11.6-11.8. Delta is in reverse orientation as far back as possible with the suction cup bottoms just above the hull step. And yes Delta still on the opposite side. The reverse orientation keeps the spray from going into the lockers. I still have lots of experimenting to do, but I am off to Wake the Desert to drive the 2017 RZX. I would love a new boat, but the Delta has made me love this boat all over again and after driving competitions for 5 years now I know what comp waves look and feel like and this is the real deal with only 2 days of testing it.

Majestic, do you think 360s are slightly easier with the Delta? I have had a easier time and find the transition a little more friendly with gate waves than my Tige listed wave.

That was Taps at 6 and as you drop down it gets longer and more skimmy.

I don't know if 360's are ever easier, but I will say this I can usually get one behind every boat except a Tige. My son even said that he had never seen me ride one out behind our boat and the first run last night I landed one. This setup has more power in the back of the wave which was never the case before. Gate type boats usually have a smoother transition rather than a trough created by a listed boat. This seems to be best of both worlds. I was telling Ragboy last night my wave felt like it had RZX push and that great transition. I'm sure I will get slapped back into reality on Thursday when I am back in the RZX.

LOL, that's been my experience too. I love my steep powerful Tige wave and its easier to get my mini air.... but for whatever reason, I have a harder time riding out a 360 despite the power/push. Very cool to get your perspective since you are one of the Polar Bear vets/Wake9 comp guys that have been behind a ton of properly weighted boats and would not want to sacrifice wave quality with one of these setups.

I have spare actuator and I have been tempted to try a surf gate or NSS style surf system on my boat...... with your pics/experience, I am very tempted to try a NSS with a bit of list. Then again a mission delta would be much less time and effort.

Well, here's mine. Not sure when I'll be able to test it on my boat. I'll be driving the Trans Tahoe this weekend in a buddy's 22Ve and spending the rest of the weekend on it just cruising around.

Ya, those shelf supports aren't the fanciest things in the world. The angled sections kept falling out. The bend holds them in there a lot better. I might have a buddy weld them in there.

If you want dxf's I can convert them but I'm up at the lake for the next week and didn't bring my computer with me so you'll have to wait.

Separately I have been not terribly pleased with the wave I get with the gate low (below) the ledge/step on the side of the boat. It tends to roll my wave over and I couldn't get the taps to clean it up at any setting. So I started moving it around on the hull and found that if put it up just above the step/ledge (not moving the fat is half in the water or right at the waterline) I can still get it to stay there and it makes a much bigger/longer and better push wave and the taps were effective at adjusting it like I'm used to with listing the boat. The problem is no matter how I deflect the gate the water comes spraying up and some spray ends up in my rear accessory compartment. It's not a ton but it does happen. So I agree just keep playing position and you'll soon find a spot that works great for your boat.

Here is my podunk effort. I expect the plastic handle will fail so I didn't put a lot of time into this. About $20 for the HOD and the cutting board. Already had the brackets.







I used a block of wood to get a bit better angle. It's about 15 degrees. I was hoping it might help it from popping off.

Will test Sunday along with my TAPS3-Vx.

The plastic handles are junk. I have made 12 or so from the aluminum ones and they haven't moved an inch.
