BCS nightmare!!!!! --- Possible Scenario

I have read all these post and I must laugh. Next wk is Fla only easy game. (Remember USC and UCLA - last year I think) NEVER take a rival game for granted. FL vs. FL St. is one of the biggest game in the country then they will play Alabama, and remember FL St. is ranked somewhere. These are the non-conference games you guys out west hold your schedule so high on, playing teams ranked 15 or higher. Alabama is going to be a bigger and tougher game then everyone thinks, they have some keys matchup that work good for them against Fla and each other knows the others weaknesses.

Beside, I think that TT and Fla right NOW are the best 2 teams playing as of last wk. TT being #1. We will see when they play OU this wk. They know each others weaknesses, just like FL, FL St and Alabama. I can't even say if I would think FLa can beat TT right now. I watched 2 of there games and they are awesome right now. I still hope they KICK OU's ***, just so this thread will be more fun!

Tech vs OU game is next week.. They are both in a bye week

It doesn't really matter who is 1 or who is 2. Both will be in the NC game and then they'll have the chance to prove it then. To me Florida and OU have the inside track to make it to the game. Florida's seems to be a little easier than OU's. Those Sooner's have a couple of tough games left while Florida only has a tough game against an overrated Alabama (who should have lost to LSU). If it comes down to Florida vs OU, then I guess I'll just go surfing that day as I would want them both to lose. Actually after thinking about it, I might be cheering for OU, only because Dom has had such a tough year. He deserves some good times.

well the end is near, and OU controls the key to mess it all up!! Tech is weak in Norman, but OSU is strong at home. I'm scared.

If Florida knocks off bama in the SEC championship game, and they will they do not deserve #1, but who knows what will happen.

I'm calling it now, if OU wins out the NC game is Florida OU and OU wins 55-28!!!! !!!!

If it comes down to this, I will take a piece of this if you are interested? Something small just for fun...

OU and Florida are my favorite college teams - If they are in the Championship, that my team wins either way. I am more partial to OU!!!

I could very well be wrong mneal... But let me see if I can explain what I'm seeing. I'm looking at the computers and seeing where FL. sits. Then I look at where OU sits in relation to that. I see that in 3 of the 6 BCS computers.... OU is ranked higher, and in one of those 3 that has FL higher, the margin is next to nothing. Then you consider the fact that many of the computers have TX tech #1, a few have TX #1 with TX being #3 at the lowest. Then OK State is still in the top 10 in a few of the comps.... OU's power rating is about to sky rocket in the computers eyes.

Now, that being said... IF OU beats Texas Tech, how far will the comps drop them? Not very far I don't think.

Thats why I think IF OU wins out they will jump FL in the BCS *FOR THE REGULAR SEASON*. Notice I'm not saying in the human polls. Now after FL. beats Bama in the SEC championship, I think they'll move back into the top spot as Bama will be a consensus #1 at that point.

The question is, can OU beat the cowboys in Stilly..... and that's a biggggg question.

Of course that's just my interpretation of things, and I don't exactly speak 1's and 0's ... LOL

To say OU strength of schedule is enough tougher then Florida's to jump over if they win out is wrong IMO. With TT coming on this year the big 12 is a tough conference no doubt but so is SEC. It's arguable MNEAL. I think they will jump if we win out, but regardless I do agree it will be OU/FL if both teams win out, I already called it if you read back a few pages

Eh don't worry about it Dom. All that matters is the final poll. In the end if OU finishes out the rest of their schedule unbeaten they will jump TX and end up in the BCS championship game. So they control their own destiny. Their strength of schedule will jump them over FL after they play these next two games. So enjoy the ride

I root for any team in the Big 12. When they go head to head, I pick my favorites. This year it's (in order):

Texas
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma

Sorry, OU is at the bottom of the list because they are expected to do well. I'm in Austin, so I gotta cheer for the Horns. I think Texas Tech is for real and they deserve to be where they are. As for OK-lite, they definitely overachieved...which is more than I can say for the Sooners.
