Here is what "I" think if Fla plays TT. Of course it is easy for me to say also, but IF Florida comes out usings it team speed on defense and holds TT a couple of time in the 1st and 1/2 of 2nd quarter they have a chance. I don't think TT defense has a chance against Fla offense. Score will be high but the 1st and 3rd quarters for Fla are important and they MUST be up going in the 4th quarter by 2 or 3 touchdowns to hold them. Fla will dominate the 1st and 3rd but will get tired. I really think they came beat Texas, but if TT wins out that will be tough. As long as no one gets hurt over the next 3wks they should be ok, BUT remember isn't like a month before the NC game. I think that hurts the teams. I don't like the long layoff, more reason for a 4 wk playoff.

    any questions? (couldn't resist.)

did anybody see any of the Alabama game? I didn't think Alabama looked to good.
IDK.... I'm looking at the rankings and not seeing SC anywhere in there?

And yep... read my post a few up.... I'm starting to think Bama is overrated. Their not looking as dominant as they should be. I'm starting to think they are drinking to much of the kool-aid. Starting to think they are better than they really are. I saw this a bunch with OU in the past... in particular 02' and 04'. To many people, ESPN, fox, etc., were saying they were they greatest team of all time.... and they took it to heart and quit showing up to games.

I will say this though.... Arenas is a stud!!!!

    x2

I don't think the SEC teams have seen an offense like Tech's, or OU's. Tech has been pretty dominant in their bowl games simply b/c their offense gives O coordinators nightmares. So it could pose MAJOR issues for FL's young defense. ORRRR those boys could step up big!

Even the Big 12 teams that play them year in and year out haven't really learned how to control Tech.... it's more like outscore them is your only hope. The only team that has ever shut them down is OK, and I credit that to the fact that leech was the O coordinator here. So Stoops knows Leech's offense.

One thing that'll be interesting to see is what'll happen when graham harrell gets hit in the mouth. He hasn't all year b/c his O line has been dominant!!!!! I gotta say the two most dominant O-lines I've seen in the country are OU's and Tech's.... so good make for a huge shoot-out Sat.

Granted SC has QB issues but the Florida's defense is not slow (and well coached) Lots of troubles earlier in the year due to lack of experience but they have grown lots through the year. Team has really good speed everywhere, more speed then Alabama or FSU has seen all year. More to good defense then pure speed though, otherwise track starts would be corners, they are well coached and speed at the play. I am not trash talking because SEC game will be challenge and FSU always gets up for that game and it could savage their season. But anyone that thinks they are over rated has not watched enough football, they are DEFINTLY one of the top 5 teams in the country, at least IMO.
Hey mneal, I grew up in St. Pete., been a Flordia person all my life. IF they play TT or Texas you WILL see how young they are. I am not saying they can not beat them, but I would not bet money against TT right now. There offerese in on the mark, we will see if there defense is ready when they play Alabama.

I'm starting to think Bama is pretty overrated as well. To many close games against weak teams. Sure the win against Georgia was impressive.... BUT Georgia has proven to be severly over-hyped. In retrospect, that game turned out exactly how it should have. I'm not saying they aren't a top 10 team.... but I'm looking around the country and I think I see 5 teams that could easily expose them.

FL. is about the only team there that belongs... and they are probably a bit lower than they should be in the polls.
I agree, I think that power house teams are coming from the Big 12.

I think it's safe to say they are top 2 or 3. I have them and Texas tied for that #2 spot in my top 5.

    Which goes

    1. Texas Tech
    2. Florida / Texas
    3.
    4. Oklahoma
    5. Alabama.

Once again, this is how I truly think the teams are playing right now. I'm really really impressed w/ Tech's defense.

Fl better beat Fl St... I think the Alabama game will be a good high scoring game. The Fl. defense is very young, no seniors and the Alabama offense is mostly upper classmen I think. That will be Florida problem against Alabama and whoever else they play in the end. I still don't think they can beat TT and not sure about Texas. Haven't seen OU play yet but hope to see some of that game next wk. They do seem to be on a mission lately. I think they are the best 4 teams in the country right now.

Moki, You'll be happy to note the MWC has been getting all sorts of love around here for the last 3 weeks or so!

How about Mountain West Conference having 3 teams in the top 25 and 6 - 1 against the Pac 10? I hope this trend continues for the MWC. Even lowly Wyoming beat the Tennessee Volunteers
