USC - TEXAS Any way you look at it , it was still one of the most entertaining college football games I have watched.

I never wanted to get into this discussion because Texas was an excellent team that year and it is like splitting hairs. I wasn't advocating that they should have given the ball to Bush on 4th and whatever, just that he should have been in the game. Because if he were in the game it would have given them another option to think about and defend. As another example of SC losing that game on their own, in the first half Bush breaks away on a long run and is getting tackled somewhere around the 15 yard line (where exactly is not important) and what does he do???? he pitches it to a walk on receiver who hasn't touched a ball all year, is not expecting it and it results in a turnover. If that is not shooting yourself in the foot than what is?Originally posted by Tanner View Post4th and 2 .... are you seriously would run your prima donna back who either breaks big or not at all vs. running your power back who has got you those tough yards all year long?????????? REALLY? REALLY REALLY?
But lets look at this in game day mindset..... first quarter, bush had already been stopped on a 4th and 1. 3rd quarter, White takes a 4th and 1 in for a touchdown. So when it comes time to do it again on a 4th and 2.... you choose???
You can think your way, but the rest the nation will think Vince won that one on his own
... notice I didn't say TX won it....lol.
So anyways, I am not suppose to be a whiner, so this will be the last on this old topic. Texas played a great game and deserved to be NC because they did what they had to do when given the opportunity. SC should have never let it get into that position, had they played the way that they were capable.
enough said about that.

If they have Bush in the game, even as a decoy, they make the first down, game over, and Vince is not the hero he turned out to be.
I wasn't going to go there, but I couldn't resist, sorry.
Texas did play a great game and I know that it sounds like whining, but you guys brought it up.

I was watching some ESPN this morning (to take a little break from the politics) and they were interviewing Barack Obama (go figure). They asked him if he could change one thing in sports what would it be. He said to do away with computerized college football system and do playoffs instead. ''Maybe there is hope for that?

Sorry Lovin, I disagree and say texas played good and beat SC. Each to his own. It was a close game and Texas won. If your claiming SC was so dominate they would have crushed Texas, this was not the case.
