Not everyone camps - probably the closest hotels are in Overton, NV. If you want a little nicer place to stay, search for Mesquite, NV hotels, or Las Vegas. They would require a little further drive, though.

We usually stay further south, near the dam, in Boulder City. Since they are casinos, they are smokey and inexpensive.

It looks like Echo Bay Marina is closed. Does anyone know if that will still be the case in Sept.?

If it remains closed, it looks like the only other option will be Calville? What's the word?

Echo is open...or at least my buddy who was there recently launched. Water level is rising, so it should not be a problem. Wouldn't surprise me if we get back to the concrete ramp soon at this rate.

There were 30 miles of shoreline open, and last year a group shows up at dark and plays latin polka music until 3 am right next to us. Lovin' Powell tells them to quiet it down and the guy comes after him with a broken beer bottle. Other than that, the camping has been awesome!

I would have had to say my 45 friends would of visited them if they came at me like that. I don't know of any cop that would stand for that either.
