Wood = Evil! I hate working with the stuff, drives me absolutely crazy.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is stand up waketobogganing and should be given the appropriate level of respect.

Ya, nothing says "serious" like a toboggan behind the boat.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I know that was meant to be humorous, but honestly... it would take some serious talent to successfully surf a toboggan behind a wakeboat, and some serious stones to even try. Instant "wake god" status.

You may call me Wakegod Surfdad after next weekend. Oh! WGSD as the acronym.

BUT I'll send James out first to see if it's dangerous I think you can surf just about anything that will plane at 10 mph with someone's weight on it.

LOL! That would be a sight! I am going to Walmart for those santa hats and I think I'll look for a "smaller"'ish Rudolf like thing that maybe we can tape to the front

Rudolf with your nose so bright, won't you guide our sleigh/toboggan tonight.

and there will be tons of them! I just checked the cost of a full on Santa suit and they are like 90 to 300 bucks! I don't think I can get Judy to buy into a gag at an additional $100. But the Santa's hat's are $4, I mean that just SCREAMS to be part of the whole scene, right? Could find a good Rudolf doll, so I'm on the hunt for that.

So it's HERE! Doing some quick measurements and it's 14 1/4" wide. Fully 6" narrower than what most of us ride and...flexible isn't really descriptive of it...maybe FLOPPY is a better term? I think IF we can get it to the surface, we'll be able to wakesurf it, but the likelihood of it breaking on starting is substantial.

So, right now my thought is that we'll do a deep water start - bury that puppy under water and then with a very wide stance hopefully keep it from breaking in 2.

If it will make it to the surface, it's going to have a TON of induced rocker, so we'll most likely need to ride it way far back. I had originally planned to add a fin, but don't think that will be necessary. The edges are only 1/4" thick, so it'll rail pretty easily.

Ok, so if we don't wind up in the hospital, we should have some riding pictures after the weekend!

I bet if you threw a 1/4" piece of anything across the top and screwed it in to the cross members, all the flex would be virtually elliminated.

Yeah - does that invalidate the surftoboggin though? I'm genuinely concerned it will break on the first attempt up! That would also eliminate the tripping over the crossmembers issue
