    New board

So what do you think? How long do you think we can surf it? Not until it's destroyed, but how long of a run do you think we can make on it? It's 6' long, unsure of width.

I have one of those...I think it will let too much water through the cracks to surf.

Do you think? I may have to seal it up on the inside first! Where is that silicone seal? I will surf it, one way or another!

Caulk the seems, wear a one piece snowsuit and surf it.

All you need is a little Flex Seal

Snow suit, that's funny. I know this thing just begs for a furry santa's hat while riding! How much of a gap will the flex seal cover? That would probably offer some traction too!

I ran down to the basement and looked at the one I have. It has 1/8" gaps or so between the slats but 1)it was my Dad's when he was a kid so it's ~50 years old and 2)we live in a super dry climate so maybe the gaps are bigger due to it being dry.

Probably similar on new one I have arriving. Wouldn't hurt to seal it up, plus it's going to need some form of traction so we don't fall off. I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to just screw a sheet of FRP to the bottom? Then stick on some bath mat EVA on the "deck" side.

I was all excited thinking that this was the new board you were building. :-(

I wonder if it will surf better than the door? Should have a bit more flex. Not sure if that is going to help or not.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

LOL the door! That was HARD, it was huge and had a mind of it's own. However, it was great fun!

LOL that will be a great article for the blog! How to do a 360 on your waketoboggan. Is the wakeshield, reverse ellipitical nose rocker hanging over the lip?

While surfing it will probably be fun, loading it up with 4 people on a sledding hill is probably more so. My daughter and I show up to the sledding hills with ours and people look at us like "who uses wood sleds!?!?!" and then we blow by them doing like 20mph and go twice the distance and they all want to try it out.
