We went out again yesterday, the decline in the water temperature has been dramatic, here. CHECK OUT MY AIR! Ok, ok, ok, so it's just 1 fin but you have to start somewhere!

LOL yeah I'm not getting any younger that's for sure! We got this camera - it's just a point and shoot digicam - but it takes sequence shots forEVER as long as you press the shutter and I'm loving it! Sometimes James will stall a trick for like 50 frames and I could never get those before...I guess I'm making up for lost time

Thanks! I am a serious camera neophyte. I just like to point and click, I'm sure there are tons of better cameras out there. The one we got is a Cannon Powershot SX 230 HS. I was just looking for that sequence shot capability. I had a Sony that had a great per/sec frame rate but only took 10 in a row. This Cannon will take tons of shots in a row!

Cannon is probably the way to go for action shots. Nikon is a bit better for portrait/stills. Better color. However, in this day and age, it's pretty tough to take crappy pictures. Most new cameras do a really nice job and it usually comes down to features and budget. I personally like having the dslr. I like changing lenses and screwing up perfectly good photo opportunities with some wackyass settings. Like trying to pan 500mph aircraft with a shutter speed of 250.

You're funny Nick. I've got a semi-diplicate of this board that James doesn't like. Sadly this one he's riding he loves! You'd never get him to give that one up. I know those dslr cameras are amazing in the right hands, but I just have no interest in learning about them. I like the resultant photos, but not the time it takes to learn them! I thought about you the last time we were out, there was some single engine prop airplane buzzing the lake that sounded like he was going 500 mph. The plane was 1/2 ahead of the sound of the engine at a distance. I think I got a little tiny speck of a picture! I just checked I got 4 specks!

That's an interesting aircraft. Kinda looks like Steadfast.

DSLRs aren't anything to be afraid of. They have all the automatic settings PNS do but they can go full manual if you choose. I generally run a shutter priority setting and let the camera do the rest. Easy.

PNS = Point-N-Shoot. Seriously though, nothing difficult about them. I would be more than happy to help out. A nice lens or two makes a huge difference. People tend to think megapixels is the end all be all of quality. 15 megapixels with a little tiny lens is like 5,000 watt stereo pushing a pair of 6" Krako speakers. Don't get me wrong, PNS technology has come a long way, I just like to be able to tune.

I might have to take you up on that. Afterall, I am just over the hill from you. I could day trip it easy. I've been jonesing for a little wakesurf adventure.
