Had a great time but it's good to be home. 4 days is a little too long in Vegas. The stratus is OK, I guess for the money it good. Spent a lot of cash on taxis since it's at the other end of the good stuff. Road the coaster at the Naascar cafe first time was a rush, second time was ok. Rode the one at NY NY, it was fun also. Rented a car on Friday and went to Hoover Dam and out to Lake Mead. That was a fun day. Nice to get out of the money pit! Went into just about every casino/hotel. Cool stuff to see.

Like I said, good to be home. Probably won't go back for many years, no offense to you locals. I just think for that kind of money i could have used that on my baby (Tige'). OR... on another cruise, now that's FUN!

ps. left all my money there.

That's why when I went I didn't bring any money, I like to use it on my other toys.

Yes, it goes around the top, you feel like you are going to fly off the building.

When we go, we always try to get out to Red Rock for a day and if we have time, we like to spend a couple of days in Zion NP.

Food: Margaritaville - got to have a loaded corona and conch fritters.
    Hofbrauhaus (German resturant)
Batista's Hole in the Wall (Italian)

If you have not seen Body Worlds http://www.bodyworlds.com/en/exhibit...hibitions.html (was at the Tropicana in Nov.) it is awesome.

    Lance Burton = Monte Carlo

Roller Coasters are all overpriced in Vegas because they can I guess. The NYNY is pretty jerky but it's cool being on the middle of the strip like that. The one at the Sahara is great, but too short for the $.

The Mirage just did an extensive renovation that includes more Chihuly glass (same guy that did the glass work for the Bellagio flowers). I think I'm going to the restaurant Stack for my Birthday, pretty cool looking place.

    Vega Trip

I was in Vegas the middle of January for my fathers funeral. I spent a few extra days and enjoyed some of the offerings.

Stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel just because. I did have dinner in the restaruant at the top. It rotates one revolution each hour and you get a wonderful view of Las Vegas. It was expensive costing $250.00 for dinner for three people. The food and service were excellent.

I did the tower shot ride at the top of the Stratosphere. That is one scary experience as you get this feeling of being hung out with nothing around you. Then I did the ride that slides you over the edge of the tower. Just as scary and not for the faint of heart.

Saw two shows. Really enjoyed Mama Mia at the Mandalay Bay hotel. Also saw Lance Burton at another hotel whose name esapes me at the moment. Did the roller coaster at New York New York. Not worth the cost in my opinion but I ride a lot of roller coasters.

Took the trip to Hoover dam. It was OK, nothing spectacular. In years past the tours were more extensive and you actually got to get outside on the lower level of the dam. Now with 911 and other security concerns they no longer allow such access.

Visit the enteriors of the major Hotels, MGM, Luxor, etc. They are really nice inside and very lavish and the decor really does drive home that the house always has the advantage in all games of chance.

There is a lot to see and there are some really good, albeit expensive, shows in Las Vegas. But it is not cheap. No longer are the ancillary functions (meals, hotel rooms, etc.) subsidized by the gambling income.

Everyone has their hand out from the person that drives the shuttle from the airport to the clod that tries to hold a door open for you. Ignore most of them.
