First of all, Fasion_air.. That's a great handle.

Second, I don't know how I missed this thread, but congrats to Tige and the dealer for stepping up so fast.

I wonder if the plate was securely seated against the fiberglass? It makes sense to me if they didn't get the plate against the hull firmly then it could have rocked a bit and broken the bolt.

Or it was a defective bolt, things like that happen a lot. I had a bolt that holds the wheel on my riding lawn mower shear off three times before the manf. realized they had a bad batch of bolts.

First....Andrew,thank you again. Tige and Gettysburg Marine Center stepped up and had it fixed within a week. This is why I will be buying another boat from Tige' this year. I have heard nothing but horror stories from friends with other boats, and I can tell you, this could of been quite a disaster, and Tige' and Gettysburg pretty much made it a non event.

second......Me and the dealership were thinking exactly that tequilasun. It was probably just not seated fully in there and all that stress to the bolts would of broke it. Just one of those fluk things and will probably never happen again.

Thanks again Andrew, Tige', and Gettysburg Marine Center!
