Good idea! I've been trying to teach my 7 and 9 year old boys how to surf. I normally stand on the swim desk and hold the board up right to help with the board "popping" up. After this method, they seem to get up okay. However, this method would've saved a lot of time and worn patience!!!

I am going to give this a try this weekend for some of my new surfers. Hope to do the same and not wear down the patience of my new surfers.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Seen it done a few times. It is really helpful with light riders and big boards, especially those that do not have the leg strength or panic when their head dips. The traditional surf method also works well, laying to popping up or the knee transition.

Nevertheless, it is great you put it to video, I think you literally blew some minds.
