Boom- We tried all sorts of combinations on getting him up.

Our first attempt was to hold his board for him right behind the swim step then once he got up we'd try to let the rope out but the wave got too big too quick.

Next we tried having him get up on his knees but he didn't like that feeling.

I took my skim board to my parents pool and I was able to mimic the "boat in gear" pull. It seemed promising but was hard for him to master out on the lake.

The Blue Lake was (and still is) a little tough for him to control but he is so light that all I have to do is put the boat in gear and he is able to climb on the board and stand on it long enough for him to position his feet and tell me to "hit it". This has been working really well, especially after trying Ragboy's tip of tying the rope to the side of the tower.

I wish I had pic's from the last time out... he was able to surf the foam ropless for a good distance!

I imagine he'll lose the goggles someday, or maybe it'll be a new fashion?

That is very cool, and glad to hear that tip on the side of the tower helped. Its hard for newbies, especially little guys to get outside when towed from the middle. That second pic next to the board, still cracks me up, reminds me of that McLovin guy.

The end of this video, "That's right, we're super heroes, you love us"

That is exactly what I thought of when I saw that picture.
