I have the same boat and motor set up. I second the blower hose fix, but also the idler pulleys are notorious for causing issues with the belt. I change the belt and pulley every 2 seasons. You can usually tell it’s time by a loud screeching sound under load.

The idler pully? The pully that is used to tighten the belt? If so, where do you get it and do you have apart number

When I buy parts for mine it’s always a cross reference with 99 Chevy 5.7 P/U w/o AC. It’s located on the top right of your motor if you are facing the transom. That’s for a MAG MPI

If you are looking for Merc part #s, you can enter your engine serial # on this site and go through the correct diagrams.
