They are cool, as I suspected though a huge PITA to get to with the bimini up. I understand some guys never use theirs, but out here 120+ during the day we have to have it. Even just to keep the dash cool, I have had the LCD displays black out in the gauges due to the heat.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Jet - no it is not. I picked up the DAKINE pads from Swimoutlet.com.

I also picked up some 1" tie down straps, hoping that would be a better option then using the bungee cords that are included. A 1" strap is too wide to work through the ovals that are in the brackets, they would need to be 3/4". I am sure I will find another use for these straps.

I debated about setting them up like BJL has with his, but am not sure if they are long enough to clamp to both bars.
For a 2 bar install, Corson has them set up to use the DIY Wake Speaker Light Bar Clamps - these use one bolt and can swivel:
      http://diywake.com/large-speaker-light-bar-clamp

Instead I decided to set mine up for a single bar install and the instructions state to use the board rack clamps which attach with 4 bolts - holes are pre-drilled/tapped for this.
      http://diywake.com/board-rack-clamp

I have everything assembled, just not on the boat. I am going to compare attaching it to the top (rear) bar or the bottom (forward) bar. I think it will need to attach to the top as the lower bar may not give enough clearance for the length of a board. By using a single bar, I will be able to place it at the angle I desire - time will tell if this is secure enough.

Once I have this done, I will try and remember to post up a couple of pics.

I thought about the cargo bimini, but since we trailer, I didn't want to put on and take off the material with each outing. If we hang onto this boat long enough, I am giving serious consideration to upgrading the tower to the Roswell Aviator Tower (the surf racks would mount up real nice to this)

Thx Dandy! You're a gentlemen and a scholar!
Looking at how people are mounting these it occurred to me that even with a two bar setup you could offset the rear clamp towards the outside of the front clamp so the boards angled toward the outside. This would help ensure the wakeboard rope clears the boards as well.

Thanks, but with my attitude, I was luck to get through High School, so far from a scholar

With Corson's racks, with the single clamp mount, there was room to offset it forward or back. I am going to push it as far forward as possible and think I will be good with rope clearance. Again, time will tell. I didn't feel like these style racks were the best with this tower, but it seems to be the only decent option to rack the custom boards out. In my opinion there is no better bimini set up than the current Nautique bimini with surf pockets. That bimini takes about 60 seconds for one person to uncover and fold out. I really wish there was an after market solution like it that could be clamped to the one of the E Series crossbars.

Dandy, did those guys send you rubber inserts with your clamps? Last thing I wanna do is put a metal clamp on my powder coated tower. I also have 2.5" tubing because my tower is an Xplosion tower that a socal dealer was putting on his boats.

Thanks to chpthril (Mike), I learned that the E Series is 2-3/8" tubing, but at the curves requires a 2.5" due to it stretching from the bend. I ordered 2.5" Clamps (largest available through DIY Wake) and the insert to make it 2-3/8" If you truly have 2.5", you would need to "Raw Dog" it and leave the rubber out.

Was hoping for some feedback before I purchase. I kinda hate that it only comes in black but maybe I can work a custom sunbrella later.

                      How was the install?

How much do you really use the tilt feature?

Can you tow at speed with it up (55 mph)?

I have the measurements from my E Series tower but would like to compare notes with someone that has installed one on this tower.

Any pics to please for those that have one! Looking purchase tonight to have by this weekend for install.
FYI: Bulletlines has a tower that looks just like the Monster Tower but less expensive. If you are still thinking about the Monster, you may want to take a look at this
