I didn't read the wiring diagram right is what happened. I had the speaker wired wrong so it wasn't working properly. After I looked at the diagram for a 4 ohm load using 2 2ohm coils I relized after I got home how I wired it was not correct. I figured that you probably had wired the two speaker negative posts together, and then connected the amp to the two positive terminals.
Wiring the woofer that way would put the coils in series, with the coils out of phase with each other. One would be trying to go one way, the other coil trying to go the other way...
