ragboy - what wide angle lens did you get for the Playsport? I found one on a google search. Metal ring adhesive to the camera and then the lens is magnetic to attach/detach from that ring. Is this the one you have?

We ended up sending the Olympus Tough-6020 back. It took decent pictures (not great), video was just ok. The screen was much easier to see, but using it for video seemed to really eat the battery.

For the price, the Kodak PlaySport can't be beat - we like the quality, form factor, and ease of use. Surprisingly enough - its also has digital zoom that actually works! It could use a larger or brighter screen - but its good enough for now. I'll try to post some videos comparing the two once I figure out how to do some editing.

I'm basic with video editing (iMovie...haven't tried FC yet)...why is 60fps a problem for editing?

I think Ragboy was referencing the Aiptek wide angle lens. However, you post inspired me to google the magnetic one you referenced. I ordered one to see what its all about - will let you know!

I have 2 of these, don't buy it for the playsport, I will explain, in a meeting now. It will work for the Zi8. I will post more on it tonight, just in meetings now. I have 2 of these and have been testing for a couple of weeks.
