What happened to the pledge of not raising taxes for the middle class?

As I understand it, the Senate-approved legislation applies increased income tax only to those above $400K/yr. Actually, because the expiration of the tax cuts officially happened, they will claim that they did not raise taxes, but instead gave a tax cut to the lower and middle classes. Typical political speak.

The most frustrating part is that this Senate-approved plan is forecast to add $4 Trillion to the national debt over the next 10 years. And they want to pretend that they have made substantial progress!

Plus Obanuts used his executive order privilege and gave congress a raise, He is sooo awesome and the Dems should be soooo proud of him. They deserve a raise they have not passed a budget since the idiot was elected. Not even his senate votes for his budget plans....
