I had a '98 454 that got like 6-8 pulling a little two horse trailer empty

Now, I'm searching for simple tuners with very mild hp increases just so I can delete my DPF again...

I want better fuel economy.

I looked at the Ecoboost while I was at the dealership yesterday. cute little motor, nestled in there Bet it's a cinch to work on. But the one I liked was listed at $51K The new 6.7 scorpion listed for $56k.
I thought there was a bigger price difference...

Every other 454 I have had only got 6-7mpg towing or not. However my motorhome witha 454 with the Banks system installed will get up to 10mph.

God knows what mileage I get in my Armada when towing. Hell, it only gets about 13 mpg unloaded around town with my wife's lead foot.

But, since it's paid off and we only tow a grand total of approx 150 miles per year...I guess it stays for now.

in '92 my dad bought an F-250 with the 460 to pull his little 3 horse gooseneck

Wow, I would guess you could at least go the speed limit with the Banks system.

I had a boss that bought a 460, about that same year, I bet you today that it has less than 80,000 miles. I think he had to carry a gas can with him and he wouldn't tow with it.

Right after lunch, I got a call from koch pipeline about a pipelining controller position in town so I can go back to engineering school and mayb afford a new boat one day
