Yep, one is 15 minutes from us. Called the "Hot Hole". Its water run off from a coal burning power plant called the Allen Plant. The water is used for cooling Its pulled from the main chnl of the Catwaba River and discharged into the South Fork river, about .5 mile upstream of where they meet.
