4WD actually came in very handy last winter in Vegas. We had a freak snowstorm and my wife was able to drive right around all the suckers without it on the 95(hopefully you weren't one of the 'suckers' Erick).

Nope...I was cruising along just fine in the Passat with Audi's Quattro AWD system (VW calls it 4Motion), and the wife's Armada has 4WD.

If you are worried about mileage don't buy a 2wd suv and try and overload it towing. Just my thoughts I drive past lots of folks in two wheel drives every winter. I just do not think a 2wd will get that much better mileage than a 4wd with the same engine.

2wd's have higher towing capacity in most cases and they do get a few more mpg's. I had a 1994 2wd S10 Blazer and got 18/19 city and about 24/25 hwy and my 4x4 version with the same engine was lucky to get 19 hwy. That's like 31% better economy, pretty significant! I don't know about today's trucks though.

GoPro HD.

Takes excellent video in high resolution. As simple as it gets and you can get a ton of accessories for it.
