I have two interstate starting batteries, I am assuming they are stock. They both still hold their charges well.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostDr, I can't remember if you said what kind of battery set up you have. I posted this earlier. Any input?
These are the two batteries that I have:
Interstate 24M - XHD
and
Exide Nautilus Dual Purpose
I do not know which one was used for the cranking battery or the house battery.
To me these seem like the same type of battery with the Interstate being a little better with more cranking power and reserve time.
Are they the same? When I put them back in should I make sure one is used for cranking / house over the other or just put them back how I pulled them out?
Interesting it seems that the Interstate starts at a lower % when charging but them charges quicker. The Exide starts higher but takes a lot longer to charge. The Exide was new last June. I do not know about the Interstate.
Mine both actually say starting batteries. From what you say I would put the Interstate on the cranking side for yours"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace

The 24M-XHD is Interstates Marine Cranking battery and is best suited as the primary starting battery.Originally posted by skippabcool View PostDr, I can't remember if you said what kind of battery set up you have. I posted this earlier. Any input?

The Exide is a dual-purpose deep-cycle/starting battery. It does both jobs ok, but not as well as a dedicated starting or deep-battery.
If the 24M takes a dump first, I would replace it with a true deep-cycle and move the Exide over to the primary starting spot.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

They are dumping the lakes right now to make up for it,
Last year we had 85% snowpack and they tried to hold everything in the lakes, The Bu Rec Filled them all up and then they had to dump water and flood out people through July. And there was so much water coming the lake never even warmed up
Much better than 20' low though"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail" John Wooden- Rest in Peace
