Last year we had 85% snowpack and they tried to hold everything in the lakes, The Bu Rec Filled them all up and then they had to dump water and flood out people through July. And there was so much water coming the lake never even warmed up

In theory, yes, but a starting battery is designed to disperse lots of current for short bursts, like engaging the starter for 5-10 seconds. A deep-cycle is designed for steady loads for long periods. Think of one as a drag racer and the other as a tractor pulling a plow.
