that's where the PW thread started to begin with as I know I was guilty of hijacking just about every thread. Pretty sure CP3 and I made it a goal (and da.bell was in too every now and then) to hijack threads. LOL

We asked him of this before he created the new look. From what I remember, he didn't want to put the IM features into this forum since there is other software that would meet "our" needs and therefor wouldn't tax the server as much.

i realize that there was something like this before. But that being said (I don't program extensively) how hard is a simple java chat room run through this server? I could care less about my post count, I just talk to everyone because everyone is very interesting. That and the whole forum came together after my accident and helped my family and girlfriend at the time out (Hopefully she comes back to me )

Member Profile Pages (updated in 4.0). This information can be viewed by other members from the member list. Custom user title, URL home page, date of birth, instant messaging medium, location, occupation, biography, interests, vB version, plus any other custom user fields that may be defined by the administrator

Perhaps that was the intent of the "Social Groups." However, without the capability to quote, use smilies, or embed photos and/or video, it just isn't nearly as convenient or enjoyable to use the groups.

I think have a watercooler thread like this (if kept in moderation) is good for the site. It keeps a certain number of members online at any give time which lends to more timely and frequent contribution to the other topics (where people need help, etc.). My

I think it would be better if the history of the IM isn't saved or at least saved for a certain period of time. Like 1-6 hours.... Then it's deleted... Reduced stress on the database and there is a chat feature.

I totally agree and I am sure Tige does to. Tige does now who are the major contributors to the site and who isn't. I would also hope that everyone knows that post counts are not a guage of how much tige branding you know either.

I agree. For what the PW is (or was), we don't need the history to be saved
