I looked at it like this. If I don't want the tower speakers on, or the in boats, or the subwoofer then I won't turn that amp on. Save the battery(s). So I split up the amps into zones kind of like how your EQ does, but this gives me the ability to turn on what I want. I wasn't sure, but it's mainly just piece of mind. OOOH...
