You will have to figure out what ballast you want to run( in pounds) what your elevation you are at? Like i said going it the 1150 can be a bit much. Unless you are willing to do the mods. just my If you are at a low elevation. acme 1433 will work nicely with 750 in the corners v sack up front and 250 in lead up front. If you are at a higher elevation you might wait for mike to chime in. He is the true pro. I don't have the 1617 but it might be an option. I do have the tractor 2571 Elevation has a lot to do with it.
koolaid you are right I should have ask for the boat porn.

I have my 21v pretty dialed for regular side surfing. I run around 750lbs in each of the rear lockers, with slightly more on the surf side. I put about 250lbs of lead in the bow walkway, that's is up front. Suck gate on non surf side and on average 2-3 adult males in the boat. Running around 10.6 MPH with TAPS around 3. That will get you started and in good shape with clean and easily surfable wave. Anything beyond that be careful out there! I have the stock 4 blade prop with the black V-drive and run around 2,800 RPM while surfing - the boat doesn't seem to be working very hard at all which I am a fan of.
