This was our first summer surfing and our first summer with this boat (same as yours)

    I settled on

1- 540lb sac, plus 1-250lb sac on top. Both in the rear compartment surf side.
1-350lb sac under the rear bench seat.
1-350lb sac in walkway surf side plus 1-250lb sac stacked on top.

So that's 1740lb of ballast (likely less, it's hard to completely fill manually) and the rub rail would be close to the waterline. Usually had 4-6 people on board. I'd like to add more as the wave really improves with more people from that reference point.

The wave was pretty good! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1383076813.783099.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1383076861.710148.jpg

    10.5-10.7 taps 2ish I think.

      Hey Formulaz,
Thanks heaps for the description. I have the following setup of sacs 1550x660x260=265kg (61x26x10=583lb) under the rear seat and 1100x410x410=185kg (43x16x16=400lb) in the walkway on the surf side.
I reckon if I change the layout to the 583lb in the rear compartment, the 400lb on the surf side of the rear seat and I get another new bag custom at say 1100x600x400=264kg (44x24x16=580lb) and place it in the walkway surfside. This configuration is close to yours.
Having also read what speed you are doing I need to drop me speed from 11.5mph down to 10.5mph.
Also, what prop are you running?

Formulaz, wave looks great. Good work!
Next you should get a wake surf specific rope/handle. Using a standard handle like the one pictured is dangerous!

What about a specific attachment for biting on??

Haha. You would have to ask your dentist about that one.

Yes, absolutely right! Not a good idea to surf with that style rope. It has been replaced.

Sorry for my delayed reply but I'm not sure about the prop. It came on the boat which I bought used.

How did you make out with your ballast? Any pictures?

              Happy holidays everyone
