Reunion @ Norris Lake, TN? - Aug. 8-9

Is there any interest from folks in the region for a reunion/event at Norris Lake, TN for the weekend of August 8-9, 2009?

I realize that this is a late start as many have possibly made their summer plans.

Depending on the interest level, events are to be determined. We have a floating house there and would be willing to host a cookout.

My wife and i might be interested. Are there resorts in the area?

It appears to be a nice sized resevoir lake about 11 hours from here so traveel time may be a factor unless we make a long weekend out of it.

I will sign up as a strong maybe. We typically go to Laurel Lake in KY for Holiday weekends, so this would not be too bad. Just have to see how work goes.

Great idea. If you get some strong interest I will pull a Tige up there (5 hr drive) for all to enjoy. I will even let Tige Owners pick the boat. I may have some swag I can bring as well.

Thanks Billy! That would be great support. Tennessee Tigé has a nice inventory to choose from! We will have our 2009 22Vé. So, my vote would be for the sublime & black RZ4 model.

Our commute there is 250 miles one-way. I can appreciate the drive/tow. I would imagine that if we get enough people with boats, we could also pair up some people if they didn't want to tow a long distance or are currently in between boats.

Norris Lake is a nice size lake. It is considered the "crown jewel" of the TVA lakes and is consistently rated as one of the cleanest lakes in the U.S. There is always good water to be found and is great for family fun.

Our place is located at Powell Valley, on the north side of the lake. One of the better places with a large variety of accommodations is nearby at Flat Hollow Marina. However, there are quite a few other marinas with various accommodations and amenities. Plus, there are many other houses for rent around the lake.

If we get enough interest to get it going, we can work on some sponsorships, T-Shirts, gear, etc. I have some Tigé banners/flags to pimp out our floating house with and make the Tigé presence known. With Mastercraft, Skier's Choice, & Malibu plants nearby, we normally don't see any Tigé boats around our part of the lake. So, it would be nice to have a good turnout.

Although my ride is a 20V without ballast We would bring it with so that if there are skiers who did not bring a boat we would be happy to pull them and boarders who don't mind the stock wake.

We would also need to bring our labs and possibly our dachshunds who come with us on any boating trip.

We are used to long drives so we don't have a problem with a long drive to the type of lake described. It is either Norris Lake or Bullshoals in August.

If my wife can get the Friday and Monday off we would definitely come. I sure hope this can be put together for the owners east of the Mississippi.

I could make it as maybe a day trip. I have a few friends up there so i could possibly stay with them. I will prob have plenty of seats available to anyone that needs a ride also.

We'll definitely be down with a 2009 Tige. Sounds like you've got some interest started. I'll see what I can do to turn some other Tige Owners on to this thread.

Andy im already hooked on that place. My wife and I are heading down this weekend for Memorial Day. Rented a floating house at Flat Hollow Marina. We always seem to accidently pass up Kentucky on our way from Cinci. We will be there.
