The harmonic is a better method of pulling. With the style that's in the kit (I guess I should have taken pics), it is very easy to get it on and hit it squarely. It has a nice large surface area.
Last time I pulled my prop, which was in 04, I just used a rubber mallet and tapped it off. I didn't have a puller. I was told after I did it that you can mess things up. This is why I now have the weekend saver, well I will once it gets here.

I like the case, tools, etc. However, the harmonic puller received did not match Lee's picture and was a slight surprise. Is this what everyone else got?
Yeah that's it......it will work great. All a puller does is vibrate the prop loose. Works just like seperating spindles from a ball joint, or any other tapered shaft setup. The C-clamp and that style do and work the same way. It is alot easier to hit that style with a hammer than the clamp. Just spin that on by hand if the prop isn't loose, and it will bottom on the prop, then whack the end with a solid hit or 2, the prop will fall off.

Excellent - and thanks to Lee - everything arrived. I really like the case. I've had a Tige since 1999, but never a spare prop and puller. We plan a trip to the Columbia River (Crescent Bar) this summer, and I figure - now's the time for a spare, especially with the deal we got here.
