Thinking About A New Boat

Interestingly, I just clicked on your link of that boat to check the price, which was active yesterday, and it now says the listing was deleted by its author. Something weird going on there.

IIRC, though, the price seemed high. Like $10K too high.

I know this boat. I was actually looking at it. It was for sale here in Vegas a couple of years ago when I was looking for a Ve. I know the dealership and salesman who sold it. I can get more info if you want. Let me know if you get close to pulling the trigger....and yes the price is too high. I know the dealer sold it for less than that...

Brad, I am secretly glad you didn't find one in your budget as I think you were looking at the one I ended up getting. I recall seeeing a post on it. I was quietly hiding in the brush waiting to pounce....

I think I've given up on 24ve's. My wife found a car she likes that is cheaper than expected. So that frees up some funds to play with.

Sorry guys. Never intended this to happen. Without going into too much detail, we were expecting a pretty big change (not life changing) in our finances back in November/december. It would have allowed us to buy a new boat. Then it got pushed back a few months. Then we thought it wasn't going to happen at all. Then it was back on. Now it's back on at a lesser amount than we thought. We know the actual amount now and can plan for it. After taking care of a few other priorities we will be able to have a good down payment and a 5 year loan on a much newer boat that we (okay, my wife mostly) will be happier with. We still don't know an exact time though, which is killing me because our first boat trip was planned for this coming weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and we don't even have a boat! (anyone have a boat we can borrow? )

Make no mistake though, this page turner wont be over till you see pictures of us surfing behind our new boat.
