I'm kind of in a holding pattern right now because of the low trade value I'm getting on my boat. If it sells soon I'll jump into one of three Z3's we've looked at. If it doesn't sell then we will take the much higher trade value from mb.

With my luck I'll sell my boat the same day all the boats we like sell too.

I don't know how accurate these listings are but they at least give you a starting point re: MSRP and invoice for 2017 Tige boats. Right here on the interweb where all information is gospel

I was told that website makes its money by manufacturers paying the site to list prices....basically it isn't a great baseline from what I understand...

Well, I got my boat sold off last night. About time! Only took 4 months longer than I wanted. But I'm actually glad it has worked out this way. In these 4 months we have come to the conclusion that it's time for my wife to get a new(er) kid/boat hauler. So we decided to scale back the boat search a bit and get her another Armada. Her 2004 has served us VERY well and it's past time to retire it. But that's for another forum.

So with that, the last month or so has been spent researching and looking for 24ve's. We found a 2007 that should fit the bill very well. We will pick it up in Vegas in two weeks, and spend our first weekend with it at Temple Bar. I'll start a new thread dedicated to the build up of this new boat. It doesn't need much, but we have high hopes of turning it into a surf monster!

I need to give a shout out to a few people that have spent a ton of time helping me (us) decide on a boat and giving us so much good information: Jason, Brad, Dave, Dakota, Adam, and Noah. Thank you. I would have been totally lost without your help. Countless phone calls, texts, PMs and emails. I'm almost ashamed I spent time looking elsewhere than Tige. The guys at Germaine are great. Sure wish we could have purchased one of the Z3's or the R23e. You'll see us in 4 years!

Our 21v served us well. My kids were sad as I pulled out of the driveway last night to take it to the new owner. They just stood there watching till we were out of sight. Kind of funny. On the way home I worked a deal with the owner of the 24ve so I had great news for the kids when I got home.

Great choice. There are a few of those on my (yes it is MY lake from 0500-0800 ) lake and they have a classic sleek look that will never go out of style. You will love the extra space.

I am a firm believer you do not have to spend $120-150K to have a good time on a boat. $30-50k will get you there nicely. If I had not gotten the brother deal on an essentially new boat, I would have probably spend $15-25k less and been just as happy. But as they say, boats are an emotional decision.

Most important thing is to put 100+ hours on that thing every year. You taking it to Powell this summer? I really want to get out there again but don't want to pay $5-7k for a houseboat and $2k in gas....especially with my mini lake Powell 1 hr away. Still, Powell is Powell. I'm trying to talk my buddy with a pontoon into going and shore camping somewhere.

We always shore camp it in September with out a pontoon, it is a little bit of a chore getting gear to our spot, but it is Powell... 2-3 wake boats, no body else near at night= my happiest of happy places! Check into a VRBO in Page AZ, we usually rent a place, launch and retrieve from Antelope Point every day and make early and late runs that way, nothing like no wetsuit surfing in May and November in your own private lake.

^^^hear you on that. We spent about 20 nights on our mini Powell last year and have 25 nights planned for this year. Drive out to the cove, sleep in the boat, enjoy the butter. So many great nights.

We're scheduled for Powell July 6-9. We are beach camping somewhere around Bull Frog. It is my family's first trip. You guys should join us! Probably not the ideal week to be there but that's just how the schedule worked out. We really need to have some kind of Tige reunion/get together at powell sometime. October?

                      "Around bullfrog"

I would go upriver a ways. There are beaches and everything around there but I would not want to camp on them. Big bay, lots of traffic, not really the best Powell experience. The thing I have not figured out is how to get fuel upriver using just a ski boat. I could probably get about 25 gallons up in cans but would probably need 100 gallons for a 3 night trip and about 35-40 more for each additional day. Anyone know if there is a ferry service at Powell to transport supplies? You could get 10-25 miles upriver but that would mean at least 20 gallons of gas just for getting here and back. Having a pontoon boat would help out immensely for logistics.

I think the lesson to be learned here is that when you are shopping for a new boat, just buy it immediately before common sense sinks in and you will buy a much cheaper alternative.

Just kidding, glad to hear that you found a boat that should fit the bill. Was the boat originally sold out of Vegas? I wonder if I've seen the boat around. The reunion in 06 and 07 had 30 boats or more there. Congrats!

I am biased to the south end of Lake Powell, but if I were tent camping, I would for sure launch out of Wahweap. The drive is a trivial amount farther, right? There are a lot more sandy beaches, and even a few spots not far from Dangling Rope marina, so you would have a gas dock not too far away.

Yeah, I dont really know what around bull frog means either. I'll be going with a few friends and their families who are Powell verterns.

Let's plan a weekend in October.

Halls creek bay has been pretty good, with minimal amount of traffic and within 15 minutes of fuel at Halls marina.

The seller informed me last night that he no longer will sell it at our agreed to price (in a text). This comes after we set up payment between our two banks, after he sent me a bill of sale, after we arranged transport and meet up (Temple Bar of all places). As far as I was concerned this was a done deal. I was just about to buy a new prop to take with me to get it as we planned on staying the weekend there playing with the new boat. Note to self, cancel the hotel reservation at temple bar.

No doubt the guy sold it out from under me. I asked him what he needs to get out of it, at this point I'd come up a little bit. Now he won't talk to me. Must be sold to someone else.

So, anyone have a 24ve, rz2-4, Z3 for sale? Under $60k? Money is in place now. Ready to buy.
