Damn man! Keep the progress pictures coming! Great progress and hell of a job to tackle! I don't think anybody envies the work you have to do but admire your dedication for sure! And here I am thinking I won't have time to install a few LEDs... HAHA..

Anyway, think I brought this up before but we need awards at the Lake Mead TO Reunion for different things like 'Most Improved Boat' and 'Cleanest Boat".... Maybe a 'Biggest Wave' awards? What do you guys think? Not sure what type of accolade to give out but just even mentioning it during the raffle and giving "water" cred would be legit!

I have a 600w Digital amp I am planning on wiring to just the sub, I am considering getting another just for the tower speakers but not sure yet because if I am pulling that much power I will need a capacitor.

open for suggestions on how to get this all worked out
No CAP needed, trust me. Maybe an additional house battery for longer play time at rest, but no CAP is needed.

You need at least 2 chnls for the 4 tower pods. A 4 chnl will work, but dollar to watt, most 2 chnl amp offer more for less.

With a mix of 6x9 and round 6, Id prefer to have them on different amps. So here, you will need a 4 chnl. One half drives the 6x9, 2nd half drives the round speakers. In a pinch, you can certainly pair the left round and 6x9 together and right round and 6x9 and wired the two pair to 2 chnls.

So this leaves the woofer, which you might have an amp for. Depending on the unknowns, you could possible drive the in-boats and tower with the amp you have.

I don't have many pictures today, it being the weekend and all. I didn't get a lot of work done but I did manage to smash my thumb, test the transmission, (shifts and runs smoothly with out any load!!), and look at the horrific wiring job my friend did on the sound system. I am shocked it played music and hasn't caught fire. Ill get before and afters of the wiring job probably Sunday or Monday when I get a chance to tackle it. I have a 3 sec video of the transmission spinning but it wont up load.

First test run of the transmission failed. We had clutch slipping at 1000 RPM then grinding at 1200 RPM. Tore it apart and found this.IMG_20160830_225635710.jpgIMG_20160830_225651226.jpgIMG_20160830_225656461.jpgIMG_20160830_225705437.jpgIMG_20160830_225731642.jpg

Where is your shop at? I nee help with this its really bad all the wires are twisted together with a small strip of tape holding them together. Its now shorting out and has constant drain on the battery. I disconnected the battery from the amp and turned the head unit off, but its so messed up its still draining the battery and causing the ANG light to come even when the switch is off, I can also hear the sub and speakers popping randomly as if they are getting power out of no where...

Does your boat have a dual battery setup with a switch? If so, all the audio needs to be wired to the common output of the switch and not battery direct. Next, with the head unit off, is there a power light illuminated on the amp? If so, disconnect the wire from the small tern-on terminal and see if it goes out.

Have you figured out the tranny issue? I was going to have my moms BF chime in if not. He is the best transmission mechanic in the states. diagnoses transmission problems for a living over Internet forums actually. Pretty legit. Sorry you are running into issues. That's never fun but hopefully it doesn't keep you from the objective at hand! [emoji1360]

Yes I have dual batteries and a switch, I have a 3rd at my house I will throw in there if its still good. I am putting the sound system on hold right now still having tranny issues, I can go to mead with out music but cant go with broken tranny.

Still having issues. I talked to a local shop and he had a few suggestions that didnt work. So far what I got is, Reverse works perfectly has the entire time, idol in neutral engine runs perfect and transmission doesn't spin occasional movement but almost nothing, then forward at 500-900RPM runs smoothly in no wake zone, if I try to give any more RPM it just revs no more power to the prop no grinding. I read on another tech site that the ATF should be dark cherry red, mine is pink and foamy, and the cooling system is leaking water into the ATF and the pump needs to be replaced. Any help or suggestions would be awesome I am out of ideas other than the cooling system failure but that will be a real pain to get out of there.

oh that was a mistake the pump (I think) is still working the transmission oil cooler is where they say the water leaks in from.
Its a little hard to see but the pump is the bottom left pully and the cooler is behind it with the brass fittings going into it.

Yep, guessing the trans cooler is bad. Easy swap out, just to make sure nothing got overlooked. You did make sure to put the key in the prop shaft right? If it is just revving passed a certain point the shaft maybe just free spinning inside the prop... Just think of this as a double check question, not insulting your intelligence
