I have been winterizing since I got a boat out here 3 years ago (PALMDALE-HIGH DESERT) I do because it has been known to snow out here and sub 30 degree temps are the normal come November. Riverside, not so much but as EWOK was saying the weather predictions for this winter are supposed to be cold/rain/snow. I can also let you know that indoor storage locations if you don't have own one run about $250 a month. Ypu can winterize the boat 3 times for what it cost 1 month of storage. Water Temps are starting to fall off from the summer already out here, but most of us Cali folks are spoiled with 70-80 degree water in the summer so when 65 degree water temps hit I am pretty much done for the year and wont pull the boat back out till Memorial Day weekend.

Glad to see that Canyon Lake is still open I grew up on a Malibu Sunsetter out there kneeboarding. I hope the community and the state get that all worked out.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

No need for false hope, You can hit up Lake Perris even in December and January with a wetsuit. I went out a couple times in December last year We also will get those freak days in the Winter where its 75-80 degrees out and you can enjoy the empty lake.

This pic is from Elsinore Dec 30th after my wife got me the dry suit for Christmas. Crowds are gone now and will keep thinning out.

The February Synthetic Swell at Lake Elsinore had water temps of 74....in February.

That's pretty awesome, the reservoir that we go to most of the time averages 68-70 in August. When you jump in around the end of May it'll take your breath away. Got a wetsuit this year but haven't broke it out yet!

I'd love to join. Kitsap Peninsula, WA. Thanks! My wife and I are from Riverside, CA. Her parents still live there. Mine are in Newport Beach. We've trailered the boat down the coast a few times. I grew up boating on the Colorado River lakes and had a houseboat at Meade for 10+ years. Good times!

Out in Murrieta. We were looking around the Newport area but the cost was way too prohibitive, and so we landed out here. Not our first choice, but we have a bit of land around us.

What exit off the 15 Maurice? Were not too far south in Murrieta. H20werks - you will grow to love the community here. We've been here 13 years, no intention of moving.
