I think if you are enjoyable to be around and have a pocketful of twenties, you could fly, rent a car and just ride on everyone else's boats. I have done that a couple of years and not having the stress of caring for my boat was actually pretty awesome. It also made it easier to meet more people and try out a few different waves. Vegas airfares could even save you money over driving.

I had the stress of making sure that I got my butt out of bed when someone else was going, but not much of a big deal.

I have pulled my boat to lake havasu from here twice previously. It was about the same distance. So it can definitely be done.

Update - Here is a list of the remaining rooms available at Temple Bar Marina;

1 Desert View Room (Includes 2 Double Beds)
2 Single Rooms (Includes 1 Double Bed and 1 Full Down Sofa)
4 Fisherman Cabins (Includes 1 Bed, 1 Rollaway... but no TV, and no attached bathroom - its a short walk away)

If you havent booked your room yet, you may want to get on it ASAP - Were hoping to have quite a few people there this year.

One side note - coworker was there just 2 weeks ago, he stated he had no issues launching his Bayliner.

No I got a room at Harrahs in Laughlin. I have an island that seats like 8 plus a big ice chest. I call you later next week with more details

Update - Things are moving along nicely behind the scenes, although I am sure it would move even better if we had a local dealer participating... oh well, a topic for another day. We have a few sponsors who have already committed (thanks to Jean from Tige), and were hoping for a few more along the way. My wife is nursing student and the President of the Student Nursing Association and they get shirts printed regularly. I can ask who does them for her and get back to you Bad05
