Sooooooooo coming back today, I left my red phone on my red Bimini while we were packing 18 boats worth of camping gear into a shoebox and subsequently forgot until it came bouncing down to the top, port side gunnel where it did a switch 540 frontside that ended in an old school raley the phone wouldn't be able to land........
Lost some great pics and video, had the most adventures of any camping trip ever, thought I'd seize from blinking, yellow lights, named a fish "Paul", met Lilly, Zoey, some dude with dad's boat and a hat made out of coors light boxes, Cash, Dave and another dude named Cory.
Got to to see how ridiculous big Dave and Pam's new boat and wave are, chickened out in the 60* water where Beck rode 13 miles, met Ewok who totally brought icy cool beverages, got to see Jon, Dan and Christy and kids, hung out with Brad and Jen (aka Jan) <-- (Will can appreciate), lost in an epic battle at Bocci, told a story about punching a donkey, had a quick agreement conversation regarding there, they're and their, showed another use for MAP gas, imitated an overstuffed sausage casing via a wetsuit, got asked how many blondes it would take, ate Korean BBQ short ribs, cupcakes!!!
So much more, thanks to everyone who came and Dave and Pam for letting Beck try behind the new rig, super nice and super fun!

Thanks guys for organizing this little get together, it was really warm air and water temp for my first surfing of the season. Also great to put faces to names on this site and get to know some of the SoCal people. If ya'll ever need a third or a hand with some projects let me know.

Sorry to hear about your phone Boatwakes, is the screen just dead? Have you tried plugging it into a computer to see if it will synch or at least transfer the pics and video?

Thanks Ewok, was nice to meet you as well. The phone itself is at the bottom of the lake around mile marker 24 and in a life proof case. It was receiving phone calls the whole time but when we tried texting it through iMessage it didn't go through. Had a hopeful though it would float but not so much.

Sounds like some good times were had! Sorry I missed it.. Brad told me about all the boat issues as well. Bummer. That wake you have on the Z1 is pretty awesome Dave!

I def know the phone problems Cory!! I swore by lifeproof but it seems nothing is "Campbell proof"... It will be crazy in 100 years (or 2 years) when the lake is dried up and someone finds your iphone! CRAZINESS... Hope that your insurance took care of it for you.

Update to our one minor mishap on the boat (the surf rope catching a fin on our brand new, never before ridden CWB wakesurf board)... I just called CWB and asked for a replacement fin. They asked me what happened. I told them and said "I will pay for it, it wasnt anything CWB should be responsible for"... the customer service rep responded "That's ok, we got it this time. We will put two new fins and a wrench in the mail for you today". Pretty stoked about it! Sometimes it's the small things in life!

Agree with Ewok, that is great service. Sometimes being honest will get you more than trying to point a finger. In our business it is not uncommon for us to give things to clients that are patient and honest...the guy that gets hot and fabricates stories, gets nothing more than required. Kindness truly pays off

The yellow flake looks GREAT in person. The pictures don't do the boat justice.

Thanks all - we liked the yellow on this one because we could save some $ on all the accessories we had for the last one. We really liked the flake though too.
