Hi all, I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a 2012 RZ2 Saltwater Series.
The PCM ZR409 engine was replaced under warranty in 2015. New engine has <300 hours, hull has <500 hours.
Boat has never been in salt water, has been kept on a lift in a boat house. Maintained annually at a Tige certified dealer. Buying from original owner. Original trailer included.
I asked the owner if he would have a Marine Survey done on the boat and he agreed, so I'm awaiting that report.
Boat looks like it was fantastically optioned, full Wet Sounds stereo system, 2000 lbs of ballast, everything.
That's the boat.
We are a family of four. Kids 11 and 9. Both very athletic and love getting out on the water. This would be our first wakesurf boat though.
My question is, is this a solid boat to start with? We can technically afford more but I don't necessarily want to spend the full budget as I know there will be plenty of other expenses. Mainly I just want to be sure we'll be happy as beginner surfers with the wave.
Also, I surf goofy foot, so am I gonna have to wait a while to drain one side and fill the other?
Appreciate any insights and advice!
Thanks, Andrew
