I've tried them all, metal, fiberglass, etc. and this South Winds Design boating flag pole is the best flay of all. The pins are secure, the flagpole is strong and the mount is snug and secure with the Bungie. It was nice that the Bungie was the same color as the pole also. Besides that, it is constructed with highly durable ½” fiberglass. This synthetic material is known to be non-conductive and corrosion-resistant. Hence, this product can withstand severe marine environmental conditions.
