I feel your pain. We still haven't gotten the boat out. The weather has sucked, and when we do have a nice day (ie: last Sunday), my son has had a baseball game.

We will be in Northern WI. Tomahawk to be exact. Family cottage on Lake Nikomis. Air temp forecasted to be 72, water will be 50 to 55. Weather in WI as sucked this spring. When it is not cold and rainy it is 80 degrees with 25mph winds!

I think I need to move up north. We get 2 feet of snow, you just get rain.

I just looked at Weather.com. saturday we have a 40% chance of rain with a high of 65 (this is supposed to be our boating day), Sunday looks a little better with only a 30% chance and a high of 68 (we have a BBQ on Sunday), then Monday has a 50% chance with a high of 67.

Do you think there is a complaint dept I can call??

They always close it on the busy Holiday Weekends. They usually have a water dog beached telling people to go away.

I was there Memorial Weekend 2008. Saw the "fuzz" circle the sand bar a few times. There was even a boat selling paisties.

We were told it was closed by the cops doing the sobriety check point leaving the gorge that it was closed.

When was the sobriety check point??? I have heard the rumors of them being out there but never had the privledge to run into one.

I went to Havasu for Memorial Day in 2005 and it was a freakin zoo! We had to get up at like 4am just to be able to get the boats in the water and then it was like the open sea at 3:00pm trying to get the boats out of the water. I guess seeing all of the girls in paisties was worth it? LOL!
