I'd take a prop... I forgot to put the plug into my boat and almost sank it. Was by the launch ramp and started to hear water coming out of the bilge pump and yelled back to my friend to get the trailer. We got it immediately and the water didn't get high enough to touch the engine. Glad that I was paying attention and didn't have the stereo cranked.

Another good reason to carry manual ballast pumps. I have a couple of Tsunamis I keep for extra ballast bags we can move around my boat...they are also my backup plan if I start taking on lotsa water.

I've done the same thing before...it's one of those classic oh sh** moments.

Ya, that 500 GPH pump doesn't do chit. I am thinking about putting a 8000 GPH one in as soon as I can. That way I can stay ahead of the water flow.

Yes Tige... You need to put in bigger bilge pumps. One that will push out as much water that comes in the plug.

But again, I also had 720 lbs of lead bags in the boat also Pictures to come next week.

Get an old Jetski motor and put it in your V-Drive compartment. You can drive a fire hose with those babies....the original jetski motors were bilge pumps from big cargo ships.

uhg whent to canyon ferry.. and bent the prop to chit on the trailer, the prop guard was bent up and as i whent to power the boat on the trailer, (imitation of grinding noise) not a good first day

If my boat was sinking, the 5 mph zone wouldn't matter to me! I'd take the ticket!

X2. I think in an emergency situation they'd much rather deal with larger wakes then salvaging a boat in the middle of the launch ramp.
