Ha ha, No I still have it and it is being put to good use! I need to repair some of my seats and have the same color of vinyl as you. Your new vinyl seems to match pretty good. Last repair shop I checked, didn't have very good options. Any tips?
You can't ever sell your boat now, you are too committed!

My new vinyl isn't exact but, its pretty damn close. He had lots of sample books and we went through all of them a few times. I'm hoping that once its broken in a little, it'll match even better. I'm having him do the back seat, observers seat and drivers seat as well. My (his) advice was to err on the lighter side so that as it gets dirt and sunscreen and whatnot, it will gain some color and bring it closer. IMO, the best thing to do would be to do the whole thing and be done with it. I'm kinda doing mine one piece at a time but, I had him buy enough vinyl to do it all as the summer progresses. I've got a few ideas I might try to employ into my new pieces. I just haven't settled upon them yet. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I've got the two captain's chairs in the main area and long bow seats upfront.
It looks like it is going to cost me around $4K to get everything reupholstered. Ouch!
I am going to go with a gray and darker carbon looking gray on the seats.
I still love to waterski and the 2300 wake is not nearly as flat as yours, let's trade!

My guy quoted me 2k to do all of mine. That would be about 1k in material.Originally posted by Moki View PostI've got the two captain's chairs in the main area and long bow seats upfront.

Man, I'm on your side but, half of my boat belongs to the wife. She just hit her first ball in the course on Sunday. You might have to fight her for her half. She is turning into a slalom junky. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I have been doing some testing. I just got back from 5 days at Shasta (Antlers). I'll get some pics up as soon as I get the pics from the real camera downloaded. What I have found though is my platform is dragging. I'll need to clip it. This really wasn't an issue before so, I guess its a good thing and shows the ballast is effective. The thing I'm not used to? Taps. I've always run taps on 8 for surfing my boat. I've found 4 to be optimal so far. That might just be the platform issue though. The wakes that look really good though are the wakeboard wakes. They made me want to strap one on and have a go. They were super nice. My sister was the only wakeboarder out with us and she is not good but, she was the only one with a wakeboard. It was all she could could do to get over them. She definitely wasn't expecting them to be as big as they were and strugled a bit at first to get over them and, on one occasion, got stuck outside of them until she figured out that she would have to edge up the face of them in order to carry enough momentum to get over them.
The Double O got extremely good reviews from all who road behind and in her. They were all somewhat said under their respective breaths since my uncle's pride and joy (the red Malibu in the pic above) was always right next to it and nobody wanted to hurt the owner's feelings. I insisted they were just being polite and a bit paranoid but, they all insisted they liked the Double better. From wakes to interior to ride, the comments from those that have been in his 'Bu and were just getting to know the Double for the first time, were all the same. "That wake is awsome! Now this is a comfortable boat. It's so quiet. It's just nicer to be in." All common comments from the week, always said after checking around for the 'Bu to make sure it's owner wasn't within earshot.
I'm taking this weekend off from the boat and I'll be out watching aircraft through Saturday so, not sure when I'll get to the pics but I will get to them.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Nice, shasta for five days lucky you. Well I cut down my deck last week and now im working on my fae flap to cut down some new spray. Don't think I will be able to get out this weekend either to test the flap but soon. Well im still playing with my taps but I have to run mine below 1 so not sure what to tell you there. Sounds like you made a good improvement on your wake. Can't wait to see the pics.
