If I remember correctly the owners of Samson and Pahtt Budde were related. You can get the integrated board racks on the Samson Edge tower and it resembles the Phatt Budde tower

That is correct. I talked to a guy at Samson about it. I have the Phatt Buddy extreme tower and I get all the replacement pads and bungees from Samson.

This is true. After some research i found that the samson edge tower with the integrated board racks looks identical to the extreme phat tower! i have made my decision to go with the samson edge tower powder coated either black or purple to match the boat with the two sets of integrated board racks plus all the upgrades..rope saver/coast guard light on tower, samsons special 3 stage mirror, and a bimini top to fit the tower. by now means a cheap buy but money that will be well spent on something that i expect to last the life of the boat.
