    Wake Surfing versus Wake Skate

Just been cruising Overtons cataloque and came across Wake skates, is this intended for wake surfing? As you can guess I have never tried either. The pics of wake surfing look cool and I fancy trying this on my my ski, any feed back would be welcome.......

Wakeskating = Small board, normal wakeboard length rope. Normal speeds.
Wakesurfing = Large, Boyant (sp) board, right behind the boat at low speeds.

Wakeskates, Wakeboards, Skis, Kneeboards, etc. are all not boyant (sp) enough to wakesurf at such low speeds.

Wakeskating is like a mini wakeboard with a loose feel and the tricks are based on skateboarding tricks.

Wakesurfing is right in the curl of the boat at low speeds and its just surfing on a never ending wave.

Wakesurfing, IMO, is alot easier to get up on than a wakeskate b/c there is so much more pressure on your arms and legs with a wakeskate.

If you still have questions post 'em and I could try to get pics of both wakesurfing and wakeskating by the end of the week.
