I jsut got a 22i type r with the 4 tank 850lbs. ballast system. i was wondering if anyone has surfed this boat and what weight do you think i should put, speed, etc. be great if anyone had any ideas.

850 is what it comes with from factory or was this system aftermarket? If you have any pictures of the tank and switches, like where their located can you post them or PM them to me. I am interested in seeing that.Originally posted by rhysthow

If you can only fill the ballast on the side your surfing on, then add lead or more water weight. Try it out about 11 mph then if you have lead move it around till you can dial it in. Good luck. My pictures earlier in this thread are of no weight, just the people that felt like moving out of their seat to move to one side while everyone else stay under the bimini.

I will post my pictures this weekend. Its facotry ballast. the tanks are under the sterio and the dash adn tehn in the two back compartment. they are carpeted to look stock so its sweet and the switches are to the left of the perfect pass. but ill get picturesOriginally posted by ssrgeoff

Cool thanks. Are your switches all independent from each other? Or does one switch fill up both back bags? Try weighting down the back rear of the side you will be wakesurfing. If both ballast in the rear fill with the flick of the switch, then try adding additional weight to one side with water ballast and moveable weight like lead to find your desired wake.

They are all indepented switches. One for each tank. and i went surfing yesterday and it worked sweet. forgot the camera though.Originally posted by ssrgeoff
