Well, this weekend I was in Havasu with my friend and some of the guys that work in his shop. Since they glass surfboards I knew at some point I could try wake surfing. It never interested me before since I am not a surfer but it was a blast. Once I dropped the rope however, I couldnt find the "sweet spot" to keep it going. I know it wasnt a weight issue since my friend was able to do it with no ballast. I even had my little girl out there with my friend. Just wanted to shout out to anyone who wakesurfs. I had a blast.....

yeah, we were doing 13 mph. If the speedo is correct? PP wasnt setting maybe because it was too slow. Next time I want to add ballast and people who arent too damn hangover to move to one side of the boat. It was still a blast.... Sucks because I didnt think I would have that much fun, now I need to buy a wakesurf.

First try was handing her off the swimstep and they went down so that didnt work. We had her lay on the front of the board while someone is in the back holding the handle and as the boat gets moving slide yourself up like a kneeboard, then once your on your knees start with your lead foot forward and stand up. Once he was up my daughter would do the same. With one hand holding my daughters hoop on the back of her life jacket so she doesnt fall off we were able to get her up. Problem was once you let go of the rope, you cant pump to stay in the wake with another body standing still. She fell off 5 times before she decided to stop since the handle was thrown back out to them and happend to hit her right on the finger with a carbon handle. After that she wanted back in the boat to see mommy...Originally posted by Matt Garcia
Those pictures are too cool! How did you manage to stand up with you daughter laying on the board? Wakesurfing is the best especially when the water is always wasted, which is every weekend of the summer.
