So further to my R20 suck gate post I made one, it was by no means pretty, although it works superbly. I have gone through most of the threads (I will confess stopping only at the pics) and can't see if anyone has tried to make a suck gate that replicates a fully deployed taps 3 plate? I appreciate that this would be a little harder to mount when in the water but with the majority of companies going 'taps 3 style' (as opposed to Malibu surf gate style) I wonder if they are of the view a taps style is better.... apologies if this has been raised before. DC

I tried to make one, it didn't go fully as low as the taps 3 does but didn't work near as good as I had hoped on my hull. The homemade suck gate works lots better and is lot easier to make/move aroundComment
