    Which aftermarket surf gate

I have read lots of the surf gate posts, but since the season is winding down. Which aftermarket surf gate would you recommend. I currently have a 07 22ve with one 1000# ballast. Thank you

Can't answer that directly since I don't use one but I build my own custom taps plates that I use and they work great so if ur interested in one pm me thanks.

If money is no object, go with the Mission Delta. Has a really good success rating. Its a simple design, it floats and its easy to install.

At a bit more then half the price I like the adjustable option that Quick Shift offers. I really like this one but its pricy for something that while well engineered, still looks home made to me.

The Tsunai is about the fairest priced option ive seen and it looks like a well put together production product. However I see some design flaws that would drive me nuts and I could see myself dropping half the contraption and watching it sink just trying to get it mounted. I think you would need two leashes to keep from losing this one.

Now because I think they are all over priced, I say make your own.

Why not give your boat more love and build an automated gate system. You need gates, hinges and actuators to get a better version of what you're after, or an automated Wake Logic controller (www.WakeGarage.com and go to "resources"). I've gone from bolt on gate like devices, to powered versions and then to a full blown powered setup with GPS automation. I now have a new boat and will be putting a full system on if for sure.

I've also got a full example of the automated gates in the project archive at Wake Garage as well.

Hope it helps. i'll try to link it here if I can

shameless plug but I have a couple of mine left. I tested and developed this behind my tige 22ve and the adjustable design helps fine tune your wake exactly how you want it. Site is still in the works but get an early look at it...

The tsunami one is great looking but as mentioned theres a major design flaw where you have to remove the plate to suction the cups on. That would drive me nuts. Also i don't think they have drain passages set up on their handles.
I also have a new design in the works that will float and have even more adjustability. No more aluminum handles and a smaller more compact footprint.
